Fruit Popsicles
Since it has been so hot lately, this Works for me Wednesday is a little treat that can help fight the heat!
Fruit Popsicles
ingredients needed:
Baby food/pureed fruit/or any mushed up fruit (this all depends on the age of your child, you'll know what he/she can handle eating)
Unsweetened fruit juice (or whatever fruit juice you prefer)
Empty a jar of baby food into a measuring cup (or add about 6-8 oz of whatever mushed up fruit/pureed fruit you chose to use). Add unsweetened fruit juice until you have 1 cup. Stir well and pour into a four section Popsicle mold. Insert handles and freeze until set. To double the recipe, add another cup of juice.
This is great for very young children as well as fun for older children to help make! Little Dude loves to "mix" for me, though be warned that colored juice will stain clothing if you let the kids help.
Well, that is what Works for Me! Check out other suggestions over at Rocks in My Dryer!
