Rustic In A Watery Way

This Week's You Capture was to photograph something Rustic. Well, honestly, I am not quite sure what a rustic photo would be...For me, Rustic brings up images of cowboys, country stores, cow fields, farming and good old fashioned work. But, since I live in the middle of Mobile, AL, which is a rather large city, I didn't have much opportunity to take any "rustic" photos.

But, I did take these a few weeks ago, when we had all those huge storms and RAIN:

This is the sunset over the parking lot of a restaurant in town. Kinda a Rustic feel to it, don't you think?
This is where we parked-note we are a good ways from the restaurant AND there is water...
Here is the actual restaurant (My MIL, Patty, was watching the kids for us). We were going to just leave and eat somewhere else when we saw all the water; however, we saw A LOT of people wading through the water to get to Felix's, so we figured it MUST be good. So we made the swim too.

Any my sweet hubby; oh yes, in a very old fashioned (dare I say Rustic? ) way, he was my knight and carried me through the water all the way to the restaurant. Note how high his pants are rolled up? YEA, the water was DEEP in some spots, and some of the more daring people actually parked their cars in the deep water, though most of those cars were actually big trucks.

I think you did a great job on rustic. Different, and different is cool.

And when I hear rustic I think of the things you mentioned, and old cars, and rusty nails, and so on.

Luckily we have a lot of old barns and such around here.
