Reflect

Photobucket

It is OK to not know where you are going, so long as you learn from where you have been.

We all make mistakes-I surely have made many that I wish I could go back and re-do. However, I don't dwell on any of them, and honestly, I am quite happy with how everything in my life has turned out so far-some of which would not have happen to me had it not been for some of the "mistakes" I made earlier.

This week's "You Capture" was on finding pictures that displayed a reflection, but as I went looking for things to put in my mirror I realized that I began to reflect on, well, me.

As I started to reflect, I realized that I could allow my past to control me, or, even worse, refuse to learn from what my past contains, and thus probably have the same things happen over and over. Instead, I have learned, and become a better, stronger person for all the things I have been through or done.

And though, sometimes it is hard to determine what I want to accomplish in the future, I will always remember my past, and remember the lessons I have learned, so that as I travel in this world, my path knows how to avoid the "mistakes" that it has already encountered.

On this rainy morning, as I catch up on work and watch my Little Dude play trains, it really has hit me to stop and take a moment of reflection on myself and to be thankful for all the little "mistakes" that have lead me to where I am.

Ahhhh...refreshing to hear of someone who "learns" from her mistakes! ;) Perhaps I should reflect on that! Seriously, I love your post. I was surprised when there was no photo, but this was even better! Thank you for the reminder.
