Alan and Andrea's Wedding!!

Our awesome friends, Alan and Andrea became Mr. and Mrs. on Aug. 11th!! I finally have a picture I can share with you thanks to our friend and photographer, Karen! Here it is:

The happy couple had a beautiful outdoor wedding in their new back yard (which, lucky for us, is in our neighborhood!!) with all of us friends and family there to celebrate. I'm telling you, it was the most lovely, intimate wedding I have ever been to (and I have been to a lot). Way to go guys!

Alan and Andrea met online back when they were in high school....10 years ago! Isn't that just the most adorable story ever? Andrea moved out here from Oklahoma about 3 years ago and they are the GREATEST couple. We are sooo glad you came out here, because Andrea, you have become one of my best friends! Congratulations!!!

Yay! I'm so glad we're close to each other, too. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the wedding. Check out Karen's page again because there are new pictures and 2 *extra* cute ones of you and Will!

Hey Michelle! I was going to email you but I think I forgot your email address and I couldn't find it on this page! If you are still interested in getting some pictures taken, will the weekend after this one work for you? I guess that is the 14th weekend? Let me know and we can figure out just what we want to do!

p.s. you can email me at karenc.bodie@gmail.com

Hey michelle... sorry this is the best way I know to get in touch with you :(

I told you at the party sunday that this coming weekend was not going to work for me, but turns out it will be just fine if it is still good for you. no beach for me :( at least not for a couple of weeks. so just let me know! we should probably shoot for around 630ish to get started- the light is generally good around that time of day (less shadows, etc.)

Hey, just wandering the internet and came across your lovely family blog. Looks like you have an awesome family! I did want to ask something, though about your link disclaimer at the bottom. You have this quote:

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

Yet, you have links to Fox News and Bill O'Reiley - perhaps two of the largest disinformation services in the US. If you really listen, and I mean LISTEN, to BillO sometime, I doubt that that is something you would want your child hearing. His hate speech polarizes when we need unity. Please seek out international sources of news, not Faux News. =(

Well, to be honest, I don't listen to Bill O'Reilly more than once in awhile, since his show does come on kinda late for a mommy to be up...haha!Anyways, I have enjoyed hearing his perpective on issues since many of the other news sources are all very left wing and share the same or similar views; he; however, adds a new slant or view. Not that he is always correct,or that I always agree with him, but often I do (I am a conservative person and usually republican, though right now I'm fed up with both parties, just so you know). As for being informed, I really am not, though I do try to be. And in the course of trying to be informed, I think all people should listen to news from many different points of view and then come to their own conclusions, as I really hope my son will someday do. In any case, thanks for stoping by my blog; it was fun "talking" with you! *Miche
