New News
So, I know in my heart that adoption takes a long time. I have a blogger friend who waited 5 years to be matched with her lovely daughter, so hey, I understand and realize we will be waiting.
But, right now, we are just waiting to hear back that our application has been accepted. And while our agency coordinator said that everything looked great to her, the ultimate decision is up to the lady that works with the India government very closely, and she knows exactly what their preferences will be with the new CARA rules.
And our family is RIGHT on the border of their rules anyway, because Champ our Princess will be right at 9 months apart.....JUST past their age limit set to make sure there can't be artificial "twinning". AND we are JUST at the limit of children already allowed in the family prior to adoption. AND even though Princess is special needs, she isn't severe...and she is still really young, in terms of international adoption.
So, we have some things going for us, and some against us. And right now waiting is killing me, because I really just want to KNOW that we can keep going forward, or stop for the time being.
If we get turned down, it just means that Princess isn't meant for us, but that another child out there is, and this is all part of that path.
But seriously, waiting to just hear a yes, keep going, or no, you can't adopt her and you need to look at a different kind of adoption is killing me.
So maybe some prayers that we get an answer to which path we need to get on sometime soon?
And in the mean time, a cute photo of us all from our cousin Angie's trip to NC from Oregon!
Now we just need to get out there to go on one of her rafting tours!

Where I Was
For some reason, the 10th anniversary of 9/11 has been more important to me; more meaningful somehow. Not that others weren't, but I suppose I looked at all of those anniversaries as more of a "We made it! This far!" kind of anniversaries.
This one, the first one with Bin Ladin dead, just hits me as overwhelmingly sad.
Now that I'm a mom to three little guys, I have made many many trips to visit fire fighters and I am seeing the anniversary a bit differently.
I've realized that when I watched the second plane hit the other tower, that I watched not just people die, but mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.
I had just gotten out of class super early because the teacher was sick, and I thought my luck couldn't get any better when I strolled through the brickyard to grab breakfast, and realized there was NO LINE for food. I obliviously got in the empty line and picked out food, not realizing until it came time to pay, that everyone, including the food staff, were clustered around the tvs.
I remember putting the food down and coming over to see that there had been a horrible accident, that a plane had just crashed into one of the twin towers. Then, as the tv reporter talked about the confusion and lack of details from air traffic control, we all watched, in shock, as a second plane appeared on the tv screen and careened into the second tower.
I remember the silence in that usually packed and noisy student center. I remember the one girl next to me holding my arm and starting to cry.
I remember the tv changing the headline to "America Under Attack". I remember the reporter's voice cracking as he asked if there was more information as the news of the Pentagon came flooding in.
In a quiet terror I walked alone back to my apartment and watched tv with my roomies, all of us glued to the news, in shock that we were under attack from a foe that would attack normal citizens on their way to work.
10 years alter, I realize, that maybe someday, if my sons continue their passion for fire fighters, maybe one day, they will be running into a building that is collapsing, just in the hope of saving one of those mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.
This year I am just so very sad about it all, but I also see how this anniversary is a celebration of heroics and bravery, from not just firefighters and police, but from us all.
We have survived 10 years of facing a hidden foe. Of fighting a war that really can't be fought or won. Fighting someone that doesn't "fight fair". There is no exact military targets or armies to face. The "bad guys" aren't in uniform for us to pick out. They don't care if women and children and babies are the subjects of their attacks.
It has been 10 years, but more than any other anniversary, for me it feels like I just walked back to my apartment and finally grasped that the things falling out of the twin towers were mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.

Living With Boys
I grew up in a house of girls.
The majority of my childhood my dad was off traveling for work, so we really only saw him on Saturdays and Sundays before he would be taking off again for the next week.
So yes, it was 4 women, and thus there were lots of Barbie play, tea parties, dress up, and makeup demos. I would even play with all my baby dolls and pretend they were my daughters and take them for grand walks in the woods and tea parties under the huge pine tree with my sisters.
I didn't even have any cousins or neighbors nearby, so beyond interacting with boys at school (which, of course, could give you cooties until late middle school/high school) I had NO idea what kind of play my boys would do.
They have quickly informed me though, about how BOYS play, much to my dismay.
You see, there are no quiet tea parties going on in our play kitchen. NOOOOO.
Instead, they are building bombs to get bad buys, poisoning food to get bad guys, and cooking stuff they declare to be better than the veggies I try to stuff in them on a daily occurrence. Usually all this cooking goes on with quite a LOUD fan fare; the results usually have food thrown about everywhere, the play table turned topsey turvy, and an impromptu battle against bad guys takes place involving the poor play cupcakes.
Occasionally they will take the baby doll we have on a ride in the grocery cart, but usually the baby gets covered in items they pick up around the playroom, like the play food, blankets, baskets, and trains, and when they are done, she is usually tossed into the play oven.
I am a bit worried about their future parenting techniques.
Needless to say, I am a bit out of water with boy stuff. Most of what they play makes me cringe and I often find myself repeating:
Calm Down!
Slow Down!
Be Careful!
Be Gentle!!
Don't Throw THAT!
Don't Jump On Your Brother!
NOT IN FRONT OF THE STAIRS!!!
Those are pretty much all the phrases I need to get through my day.
Lately, their new game is "wreaking ball".
What, may you ask, is wreaking ball?
It is when one guy stands braced in the doorway and the other one RUNS at him AS FAST AS HE CAN and attempts to knock down the guy in the doorway.
The first time they played it a few nights ago, I didn't quite realize what they were doing, because all I caught were glimpses of them as they ran by the kitchen, and then I would hear hysterical laughter, so I figured all was good.
Parenting mistake number one-o-one: I should have remembered that just as equally dangerous as silence is hysterical laughter.
Later, when Bill got home he saw what they were doing and thought it was fantastic, and when I asked for more details on why he thought them running down the hall was so great, he pulled me out to the living room to show me the impact moment.
It was quite lucky Bill was there because I just about lost it.
I mean, really, THAT is a GAME? And they kept taking turns and doing it over and over and over....and over.
I was certain someone was going to get seriously injured and wanted to put a stop to it; however, Bill reminded me to step back and let them be; they are boys.
Which, I trust my husband with, since he and his brother were, apparently, just like these guys.
And they WERE having fun. And taking turns. And Sharing. And getting energy out.
It was just giving me a heartattack to watch, because, after all, it was a lot of WORK and PAIN to get those guys into this world, so I certainly don't want them to break each other.
So I had to go to something a bit more calm, like washing dishes.

We Felt The Baby Kick
On the 27th of October, I felt the first, huge KICK from Pumpkin. It was right in the middle of dinner, and seriously I about jumped out of my skin; I just wasn't expecting to get smacked on the inside at that moment.
But now, the few kicks and pushes that have come are not quite the surprise, since I am now aware Pumpkin is big enough and strong enough to say hi.
I need to start taking photos of my belly each week; I'm at 17 now and just starting to really show a baby bump-which is nice, since now I don't just feel fat with my jeans not wanting to zip. I've broken out the maternity items early-really as soon as my jeans got snug. No messing with rubber bands and do hickeys to make my pants last longer-I figure I'll have to buy (or bought) maternity pants, so I might as well get some good use out of them.
For being super short, I did get a treat from my super hubby in the form of TWO pairs of short maternity jeans from Motherhood. They are divine and fit my leg length perfectly. Love. Really.
And I have a nice group of mom friends who are letting me borrow/have winter maternity clothes, since both of my other pregnancies were in the summer. Love them, too.
Those are all the updates for now. The countdown is on to blue or pink day-we go in on the 11th to find out and seriously, I don't know how people wait til delivery day to find out. I think I am going to pee myself with excitement and anticipation and I still have 8 WHOLE DAYS we have to wait. Sigh.

I Lost My Domain
I've been gone for awhile, even though I had said I was going to keep everyone updated more often.
Why the absence? Well, any of you reading this now have come to realize my old url, the most awesome, alliteration happy Coordinated Chaos dot com is no longer functioning, and it is all to my own silly self to blame.
So now I am located here: www.coordiantedchaosblog.blogspot.com, which I feel is just way to long and not as fun, but I didn't want to use my last name (I feel weird sharing too much info about my family on the internet) and the default blogspot url was my last name at blogspot dot com. And coordinatedchaos.blogspot.com was already taken, much to my dismay.
I changed my defualt url quickly, and then set about trying to update all my ads, sponsors, family, and of course, you, my awesome friends and readers, so I wouldn't lose touch with anyone.
So how did this happen? I neglected to realize my domain renewal was up, until the domain had been sold. I last renewed my custom domain back in 2007, and it completely slipped my mind that it was coming up this fall to renew again. Then my blog went down last week, for which I posted many a pleas for help in the blogger forum, and could not figure out what in the world was going on.Then, my url started going to godaddy.com. So I called them to find out what was up, and found out my url had JUST been sold that same day to someone.
Oh sigh.
So, no more custom domain for me, and I tried to rationalize how this is good, since it means I now have $10 I can spend at Target instead, but I only got an eye roll from my husband...
Anyways, I'm annoyed at myself for not being more on top of everything, but in the long run, it isn't a huge deal.
After all, this blog was started to update friends and family while we lived far away after the birth of our first child. (Yea, we moved 4 days after giving birth)and then it continued when we moved, yet again, after the birth of our second son. In the last 3 years I felt pretty accomplished; meeting lots of moms, getting to do product reviews, having the chance to do MomTalk radio appearances, and participating in mom forums and being part of a mom test group for Wal-Mart, Avon, and more.
So, losing my domain, after putting all the time in, was quite upsetting, but you know, I'm pretty used to moves coming with each kid, so perhaps, this will be the only move we have to do with baby number 3? And if that is the case, then I say piece of cake.
And on that note, I am going to get something to eat, because I'm pregnant, and typing the word cake, made me really want the cheesecake yogurt I have in the fridge. Pregnancy is awesome that way.

I'm French at Heart
I'm a band geek, which most of my current friends and blog friends don't realize.
Well, maybe some of my friends realize. I have a nice collection of instruments around my house, and a huge basket of music next to the piano. But I don't know that anyone other than my husband has heard me play.
Anyways, there it is. I'll admit it. I am and was and will always be a band geek. I played in High School, I did marching band, concert band, honors band, competitive local bands, community bands, and at any school play you would find me in a faithful spot under the stage. For summer break I would have DIED to join Carolina Crown, but usually ended up working away the summers (not a bad way to spend it though, my college fund thanked me later).
When I got to college, I fell off a bit. After two years of Marching Band, I'd had enough of the 3 hour class block for one credit. So I quit. Then I quit the Concert Band because, well-they didn't have French Horns. For two years I'd been playing an E Horn and wasn't a huge fan.
Then I didn't play again until we moved to Tennessee, and I stumbled upon a volunteer concert band.
But we moved some more, and finally ended up back here, and I don't know of any local bands that I can join(Please tell me if you happen to know of anything). I wish I could find something like the band I was in at Mars Hill College-we would just get together and site read pieces. It was awesome.
And so, without further ado, a fellow band friend shared this gem with me:
Oh yes, it is JUST French Horns. Oh, I might have died and gone to heaven.
Watching this got me to pick up my French Horn yesterday, and while it sounded atrocious, I am really excited to pick it up again today and see if my chops will last a little longer.
Oh French Horn, how I have missed thee.

Straight No Chaser
I heard this song on the radio today and fell in love with it. It was amazing and humorous all at the same time. Straight No Chaser is an a cappella group that I am now dying to see.
And guess what? They are coming to Raleigh Dec. 23. Oh, I am so there. Right, Love? Date night, maybe? I think if I beg enough Bill will cave and take me. You can see why I am in awe:
I had never heard of them before today on the radio (yes, I even called in to find out who the group was), but I am for sure ordering their Christmas CD; listening to the songs had me laughing and wanting to sing along at the same time. Awesome.

Homeschooling Thoughts
It has been such beautiful weather here, and the kids have been loving playing in the yard-days like these make me so happy to be back in NC.
But at night-while getting the kids in bed-I especially miss having my sweet Bill around. Even though my kids are angels most of the time (like all kids), by the end of the day I am so frazzled and overcooked that I just can't wait for them to fall asleep.
However, once they are in bed, then the house is way too empty, way too quiet and way too lonely.
And I can't complain; I feel lucky that Bill still has a job, and that I can stay home with the kids, but I still wish that Bill's job didn't send him all over the place for long periods of time.
So far, we have been able to go with him a lot of the time, but what about when the kids start school? I've been thinking about that a lot lately, and wondering about homeschooling pros and cons. Homeschooling would make it so we could keep traveling with Bill, but then, it would be impossible for me to work from home and homeschool at the same time, so that would stop my income, and stop the chance of me bringing home a full time paycheck once all the kids went to school.
So anyone with any thoughts?

Babywearing Week!!

I know it is already Thursday, but I wanted to share with you all that RIGHT NOW, International Babywearing Week is taking place!! There are all kinds of fun forums, question answer sessions, and giveaways going on for all the babywearing moms and dad AND those that are interested in what babywearing is all about.
Here are some things I love about Babywearing:
*It keeps my hands free for other things, like my coffee, or work.
*It calms my crying baby and helps to get a fussy baby to sleep
*It is fun
*It can be affordable. There are expensive slings and carriers out there, but if you look around on ebay or etsy, you can find some very nice, comfortable baby carriers. My favorite is a Maya Wrap (that I found cheap on ebay) because it has a pocket, making it perfect for wearing while shopping.
*It is very comfortable if you use the right carrier for your body-like if you have chronic back pain, a mei tai or backpack carrier probably isn't a smart choice; however, a nice padded ring sling probably would be great, because it will place all of your child's weight on your hip (it is just like holding a baby on your hip, only the sling holds them in place instead of your arm, nice!)
Other Questions? Feel free to ask! You can email me at coordinatedchaos@yahoo.com
I have a pouch sling, which I think is a great intro to babywearing because there is no adjusting to do. I also have 2 ring slings, one for summer and one that is lined with soft fabric for winter. I am really excited for the weather to get cold so I can wear JR around in it. For back carry I use a Babyhawk Mei Tai (pronounced may-tie), which I also got really cheap off ebay, but I honestly think I would pay full price for a new one. I'm in love with my Babyhawk and use it the most often now, esp when we take JR to football games. I have never tried an ergo, though I would love, too, but honestly since it is not made in America I'm not too excited about it. Babyhawk does make all their carriers right here in the USA, and both my ring slings and my pouch sling were, too.
Would you like to win a ring sling? Steph over at Adventures in Babywearing is hosting a FUN review/contest to win a Sakura Bloom sling, so go check it out!
Happy Babywearing!!
**Note that I paid for all of my babywearing items; I did not get anything in compensation for mentioning any companies in this post.**

Just For Thought
Happy Friday!

Feel The Rain
There is one thing I can say about Alabama weather; you FEEL the storms coming. Perhaps because we are right on the water, or because it is just that time of year for good storms, but either way, a storm is coming.
We spent the last two days hunting in consignment sales, and got a TON of great clothes for the boys for next year. I didn't need much for JR, since I have a lot from Little Dude, but I did get him a few cute things anyways. Little Dude and I cleaned up the dollar shirt area-awesome. We also got a fun Bob the Builder memory game for $3.00 that we tried playing earlier today. For the first time, Little Dude did pretty well, but the game has 75 pairs-just a bit too many for a 3 year old, so the next time we play I'll just put out 10 pairs. And make sure we do it while JR sleeps. I spent too long after our game today trying to round up the cards JR had collected.
JR has a cold. It started out as a sneeze this morning, but now it has progressed to the nice runny nose. So now, he is nestled in a ring sling, laying his head against me and not looking so happy. So far no fever, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed one doesn't develop. I'm supposed to babysit for few hours tomorrow, and I'm debating if I should cancel or not. I'd hate to make a baby sick, but then, if I cancel, then Nanette can't be the home room mom for the morning at her daughter's new school. I am a little glad I don't have anything else to really worry about at the moment; not too shabby, eh?
We come home in a week!! Ekkk! I am so excited to be home. But I'm also dreading packing up our stuff. And I have to get the train table in the van. And my shoes. And all the clothes I just bought the boys. I think I will be making a trip to Walmart for some bins.
I have a TON of work to do for Dakno and I am debating asking my sweet Bill if I can escape to Starbucks for awhile so I can catch up on some of it. And get away from the kids for a bit. I've discovered that time away is essential to my sanity. I am a little sad knowing that once we get home, Bill comes back here and I won't have him to take the kids at 7pm. Or to snuggle with at 9pm.
Organizing our closet to fit in the 7 pairs of shoes I've bought since moving down here will be a good use of time. And if I can make enough space, then maybe I can get another cute pair.
So, now I'm off to work on some Dakno items, and listen to the rolling thunder get closer and watch for the coming rain.

6 Things Miche Loves
Well, I have been lazy today and haven't gotten the photos from yesterday off the camera yet, so birthday photos will be coming in the next few days!
In the meantime, I got tagged by my friend, Beth, to share 6 Things I Love! Here goes:
1-My dear, sweet Bill. He is the most amazing man, husband, and father. I really am in awe of him on a daily basis. Not only does he have a really awesome job as a civil engineer, he is awesome at it and loves it. There are so many times I'll go by the office or see some of his co-workers out and about and they always talk about what a great boss he is, which makes me so proud of him and for him. He is also the most amazing dad. He gets down and dirty with the boys, knows when to push me out the door so I can chill out without kids for a bit, and he knows how to play the best trash man in the world, much to the delight of our toddler. And the best part? He lets me keep the shopping gift cards to Belk that his company always gives out for Christmas so I can get whatever shoes I've been drooling for. I love and admire him so much. Yea, he is a keeper.
2-I love anything and everything Disney. Since my husband's company has a district office there I keep joking that he needs to get us transfered there, instead of like, Mobile, AL. I worked for Disney as part of a college internship and just fell in love with the company. And Splash Mountain.
3-I want a ton of kids. I just love kids and I love being with my kids, even though I do have a few of "those days" where they drive me crazy. For the most part, there is nothing I'd rather do than see how many pieces of chalk it takes to paint our patio in a rainbow. Currently we are on our second box and it is looking pretty goood out there.
4-I love pasta. I could eat a good bowl of spagetti at every meal. I also LOVE to cook pasta in as many ways as possible, so I can get my husband past his strong hate of regular ol' spagetti. So far I seem to be doing well at it; he even requested I make my meatballs again. *gasp!*
5-My job. I have the most perfect job in the world for a mom. I work from home for Dakno Marketing, and we do web design, optimization, creation, and a whole slew of other great services, like blogging, social networking, ect for real estate professionals. I have learned so much about computers, networking, blogging, and technical writing. I have been blessed to get to stay home with my kids, while making enough money to afford fun outings or classes for the kids and great gifts for my hubby. (And some for me, too!) I am really thinking I'd love to keep working here even after the kids go to school, so I could keep the same great felxible schedule. It is just wonderful to work on my time.
6-Avacados. I LOVE avacodaos, but I SUCK at buying them in the store. I can never tell when they are ripe, or if they are too ripe. If I buy them too early, I always forget about them and they go bad, or if I buy them and think they are perfect, they end up being all brown. Luckily, I have found a fellow mom down here in AL whose husband makes the worlds best guaqamole dip, and sells it for $6.00 for a whole mason jar full. I am going to be sad to leave them here in AL when we finally move back home to NC; then I'll be back to trying to figure out when the avacados are ripe in the store, and that just isn't going to be pretty....
If you would like to read more of my little "things about me", you can take a peek here! And I swear I will work on getting Bill's party pictures up for all of you that couldn't celebrate with us like we usually do. Take care!

What's Up Buttercup
There is not a lot going on today, and yet, at the same time there is. Coordinated Chaos is all around me, as I get the boys dressed for the day, eventually get them outside to play, or rush to find a potty for my toddler when he HAS.TO.GO.NOW.
It's what motherhood and parenting is all about. The Chaos, the Craziness, and the vast joy that comes from surrendering to the silly giggle requests to "Make the googy gloppy face again!", instead of worryig about the never ending pile of "to-dos".
I've debated a lot lately about when the time might be right to try for a third child, and selfishly, if I think too much about it, I start counting how long it will be before I fianlly "get a real job". Or when Bill and I will have two full paychecks coming.
I think about how long it will be, if we were lucky enough to get pregnant now, before we can take the kids to Disney World and have everyone old enough to enjoy it. How long it will be before a trip to see my parents (5 hours from our NC home) might not involve screams and cries and tons of dirty diapers but instead focus on road trip games.
I think about how adding another baby will delay reaching all these things by a good three years. And I think how if we have another, perhaps we should also try for a fourth and try to avoid "the middle" for JR. That will make it almost 6 years....
But then, in the midst of my more self centered thinking, my "baby" starts walking across the room all by himself to reach a toy, while his big brother plays cars with him. And for once they are ignoring me, as I sit quietly and watch them hug and giggle and play.
So, I forget all the thinking I had been doing and quickly switch gears to what the best layout will be for adding that third carseat to the van, where exactly I packed my maternity clothes, and how cute matching bedding for the boys' bedroom would be, cause, you know, I think I'm going to be needing that nursury for baby number 3.....

Jon and Kate
I have watched the "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" show since it started, and just fell in love with the family, the kids, and the amazing way they handled that many kids. It was just fascinating and motivating to see how two 6 year olds and 6 two year olds could, in fact, go to Disney, have fun, and not get lost. Each time I watched it, I'd come away like, "Yes, I can handle my two toddlers!" Or I'd steal an organization idea. I loved it.
But last night, as I watched Jon and Kate announce they were divorcing, I felt so much sorrow for them and for the marriage that isn't being saved.
So many times each of them said the kids came first and were their priority-Kate even mentioned that the whole reason she breathes is for the kids. And that is all fine and dandy, but I wonder if perhaps that is the root of their problems. For years Jon seemingly took whatever C**P Kate seemed to throw at him, and all in all she never did treat him with respect when the cameras where around. And Jon never seemed to care, he just simply ignored it. At least when the cameras were around.
So perhaps instead of doing everything for the kids, they really should have (and maybe still could) start to focus on each other. And put each other first, treating each other with dignity and respect. And perhaps a smart idea would be to stop the show, or cut back the show, so they could focus more on being a family, rather than putting on a show for the tv audience.
Cause I'm pretty sure all the kids would really rather have their parents lovingly together, than to get some amazing play houses.
So I am torn as to whether I will watch anymore, simply because I feel like the show and the fame really took its toll on Jon and Kate, and escalated the issues that tore them apart. And the millions from the show made it an easier option to just go get a divorce and buy an apartment at Trump Towers, rather than to go through years of counseling to help mend the cracks.
So I don't know, but I am very sad for the Gosselins and their children.

Just Another Monday
It's Monday, a day that, in my opinion, is the most blah day of the week. Monday's should be half days just so they aren't such a shock from the weekend.
I set out early this morning to finally discover what was broken in my blog-for some reason it was not loading properly in IE (Internet Explorer) but since I use the much more awesome Mozilla Firefox, I had not noticed the IE issue until I got on our laptop-which until yesterday only had IE on it. That problem is at least fixed.
Anyways, I spent a lot of time yesterday playing around trying to understand why IE hated my blog, and after getting some great tips from on line friends (and slowly plotting to take my domain to a real web host so I could actually call someone for help the next time an issue like this happened, Blogger, though free beyond domain registration, has the most horrible support help) I jumped on this morning refreshed with new ideas to try and ready to get to work on reviving my blog.
Only now, it seems to be loading just fine. And I can't figure out why. Oh Blogger, you mock me.
So, if anyone finds that my blog suddenly isn't working in IE, give me a shout at CoordinatedChaos@yahoo.com.
Now, I have to get some work for my real job done before the kids get up.

Somehow They Know
So we are finally back in Mobile, Al. I'm glad to meet up with friends I have made down here again, but I am already hating the humid, hot weather (it got up to 100 degrees yesterday).
I got up early this morning to try and catch up on work, but it never fails-whenever I do set the alarm to get up super early and work, somehow my kids KNOW I AM UP.
And they quickly let me know they wanted to see I was up to.
So, it is 8:30am, the kids and I have already been up for 3 hours, but I haven't made much progress on the writing and other "to dos" I have for my job.
I think it will be a day for watching Sesame Street and just plugging away at my huge pile of work, and praying that by this afternoon it is cool enough to take the guys outside for a walk.
So what is everyone else up to today? I swear I am going to get birthday pictures for JR posted as soon as I find the cord for the camera.....yea, that is the down fall of moving around so much. I already can't ever remember where I put things, but moving back and forth makes it even harder-I have two homes stuff could be hiding from me in!

Finally Here
We are finally back in Alabama, after an all day drive with the kids. Whew, it feels so good to be here, even though I am still sad that I'm not there in Raleigh.
In an update, the house we were hoping to invest in (read below post) ended up already being sold at an auction from the previous week, but its status had not been updated on the HUD/MLS listing. In fact, none of us knew it had already been sold until our Realtor went to put our bid in, and we found the bid couldn't be accepted. Oh well. We are pretty disapointed, but like I said, it would've just been one more thing adding to the chaos we already have!
And, now we can do a bit more research into how to set up rental documents and agreements, since we will eventually get into investment property. I'm hoping we are back in Raleigh by the middle of August, so I will be on the look out for a potential rental property starting then. It would be awesome if another HUD home came along!
Well, now I am off to work, but keep checking back this week, as I have some really nifty giveaways to offer AND I have tons of cute pictures from JR's first birthday to share!
Somehow, I became the parent of a one year old and a soon to be three year old...how in the world did that happen?

Just Another Manic Monday, er Tuesday
Today is ridiculously busy; we are getting ready for JR's birthday party tomorrow, we have friends getting married Friday, I have tons of work to complete before Sunday, and Today is the last full day we have in Raleigh.
Tomorrow morning, Bill and I start our quest for a rental property to purchase (which we are crazy excited about!). Then tomorrow afternoon (or whenever we are done looking at properties) we are driving down to Wilmington to celebrate JR's birthday (a few day's early) with the grandparents, then Thursday we have rehearsal for our friend's wedding, then Friday is the wedding!! And the kids are getting watched by the grandparents (whoo hoo!). THEN Saturday we are driving back to Raleigh for the sole purpose of packing the already packed items (that I am hoping to pack today!) into the van. THEN we are falling asleep so we can wake up at the crack of dawn on SUNDAY to start the crazy 18 hour drive with two kids back to Mobile, AL.
Sigh, my head hurts already. And I am sad the time here went by so quickly; there were so many people I wanted to catch up with and spend some time with, but it just didn't work out. Don't worry though, we will be back for sure in the fall for a little time and HOPEFULLY then we will be back for good. Either that or we will be transferred somewhere else...eh, one day at a time, right?
But gosh, those days go by fast!

Oh Geeze
Well, we made it here safe and sound. It is so great to be back at our house, see our neighbors and catch up with friends! I am on cloud nine.
Almost.
You see, my computer isn't wanting to behave. OH GEEZE. The issue isn't really the computer, but more my mouse and keyboard. Since I have an office here in Raleigh with all my things, when we moved to AL, I only took the computer tower, and extra computer parts my brother in law had. THAT way (so I thought) I could travel back and forth with just the tower and not risk breaking screens, losing wires, etc.
My plan would have been perfect if my old tower had not died a few months ago. Thus, I got a new one. Thus, I am just now realizing that:
1-When I had the computer people transfer the data from my old tower to the new, I neglected to realize the wireless card would need to be transfered...thus it wasn't. So yesterday I bought a NEW wireless card, much to my bank account's dismay.
2-Once I got home and tried to set up the said wireless card, I realized my mouse AND my keyboard have different portal connections than the back of my new computer supports. And the kicker is that they are ALL Dell. ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
3-I have TONS of work to do that would be SO NICE to get caught up on before all the family comes; however, that won't be possible unless I now go buy a new keyboard AND a new mouse so I can TRY to install the wireless card and then get online to work.
4-The kicker that is killing me is this: I could just use my brother in law's computer (which I am right now) to get online and work; HOWEVER, a file a REALLY MUST HAVE to complete a project is saved on MY computer and I have no way of getting to it. SO I have to go spend a bunch of money I don't want to spend on items I already own IN ALABAMA.
I knew I hated Alabama. OH Geeze.
And if I ever get myself online again, I have some cute videos to share of the 15 hour car trip back to NC. Now I am off to get ready to go to Best Buy with my kids.
SIGH.

Imagine, If You Will...
So we have a new member to welcome to our family! Yes, my hysterical toddler, Little Dude, has met an imaginary friend, who as of a few weeks ago begain making small apperances around our home.
Last night though, Little Dude's imaginary friend needed a cup of water though. And not an imaginary one, a real one. Because, as I was informed, he was thirsty.
So what do I know about this new friend of Little Dude's? Not much, but here is what I have learned so far:
*He is Orange
*His Mom is Orange
*His Dad is Purple
*His Baby is Orange
*He likes garbage trucks and trash(which is probably how my son and he bonded)
*He likes baths
*He likes Nemo, Clifford and Elmo
*He poops
*He does not like gross stuff (That does not include anything I would call gross. Gross is relative, apparently)
*He plays the drum
*He has a computer and a phone
*He is a water monster
Yes, I am one of the lucky few to have a rather talented, orange water monster living at my house. I am thinking next week will we invite his parents and baby brother over for dinner. I wonder what water monsters eat? I better go ask Little Dude...
